Homemade oat buns 😋 . My grandmother used to bake the most delicious oat buns. I loved going over to hers and get treated to freshly baked, soft buns topped with generous amounts of butter, that melted as it touched the buns that were still warm from the oven. After she passed, we realised that no one knew her recipe, as she was always baking from memory. . During lockdown I’ve tried my best to recreate her recipe. We have gone through so many batches of buns (Sam is not complaining) and I think we’re slowly getting there. Of course it will never be the same but we are happy to create our own traditions, (and remember to write it down for generations to come). 🥰 . When purchasing silicone products look for FDA approved food grade silicone, which doesn’t include harmful chemicals, and you won’t have to worry about any toxins leaching into your food while storing and cooking. Good quality silicone doesn’t pick up any odours either. At the end of its long life silicone products can be recycled at the appropriate facilities. .
