Meal prepping is truly a game changer for anyone looking to improve their eating habits.
It’s not about losing weight but about eating consciously.
By preparing your work week meals and snacks you are ensuring a couple things:
1. You’ll eat better
2. You won’t miss meals
3. You’ll feel better about yourself (this is huge, something so simple as meal prepping will also help your self consciousness. You’ll feel accomplished and with persistence you’ll start forming healthier habits.

Net Zero Stretch & Seal Silicone Lids are another IG find. These can replace Ziploc baggies and plastic wrap, even Tupperware, if you’re creative. Plastic film is hard to recycle, though clean, dry plastic film can be recycled with TREX as decking material at your local grocery stores. I like these a lot better than the wax coated fabric wraps. They should last a lot longer and are easy to clean.
Order from Net Zero and check out their other products aimed at limiting waste at netzerocompany.com netzerocompany
*I will add that I think this product could undergo another round of design development.

A seal it truly is 💪 Tap product to see how else you can use it! 🙌
When you need to store leftovers, there are so many options beyond plastic cling wrap or aluminum foil! My two favorites:
⭐️Silicone storage lids from netzerocompany which come in a variety of sizes and can stretch to fit over any container.
⭐️Beeswax wrap from abeego , which can cover dishes or wrap around cut produce to keep it fresh for longer 🙌🏼
These are excellent alternatives to disposable plastic or aluminum covers, and keep your food fresher for longer which also reduces food waste! All around win-win 👏🏼

There have been some friendly new faces joining my page recently so I thought it was about time I do a little intro of myself & the purpose behind my page...
⋒
I’m Caitlin! I’m 18, from Adelaide Australia. I am currently studying to become a personal trainer and starting my nutrition degree at university to become a nutritionist.
I have a huge passion for sharing my health & wellness journey on this platform in hopes to educate, inspire and benefit other people to better their lives just as I did.
✻ so how did I get to where I am today?
After struggling with mental health illnesses growing up, battling constant self doubt & limiting beliefs, losing all control in my life, and then later developing an eating disorder in attempt to gain some control, I really hit rock bottom!
But hitting rock bottom was not the end… it was just the beginning
Starting at the bottom allowed me to redefine what health & true wellness means to me. I believe there is no thing as perfect... in fact striving for perfect is unhealthy. Instead I truely believe a balanced approach to nutrition, fitness, mindset & keeping the body at minimal stress is the key to a happy and fulfilled mind, body & lifestyle.
⋒ everything is 100% connected ⋒
So if you read this far please know I appreciate you & thank you for being here xx

How do you store leftovers? Plastic wrap might be a common choice, but it's extremely wasteful as you can only use it once, plus it hurts a lot of wildlife that sometimes mistaken it for food.
Let's not be ordinary and make a swap to this stretchy bundle of silicone lids! 🤩
The set includes six lids in different sizes and can be used to cover everything from bowls to glasses or even fruit halves like melons or apples. Because they are stretchable you can use them on the square and round containers.
Thank you for sharing, @lemonsandluggage

How do you store leftovers? While plastic wrap is an obvious choice for covering bowls and containers, it's obviously extremely wasteful as you can only use it once. But on top of that it's too expensive if you consider that it's a single-use item and that it usually rips (or is that just me?).
I'm super happy about these silicone lids netzerocompany sent me. The set includes six lids in different sizes and can be used to cover everything from bowls to glasses or even fruit halves like melons or apples. Because they are stretchable you can use them on square and round containers.
If you want to get a set of these lids yourself head on over to netzerocompany's website and use the code LEMON10 for a 10% discount!

Friday Find is a shout out to businesses that create products/services I love!
Today’s Friday’s Find: netzerocompany
It’s often when we consciously lean into change that shifts occur. Small steps eventually lead to big changes. Those who follow my posts, know that I deeply believe in sustainability and being planet kind and I’m slowly trying to change my behavior and make better choices to lighten my carbon footprint. I’m trying to do things a little differently and sometimes it is inconvenient quite honestly. But so is climate change and the effects that we are encountering daily with extreme weather and pollution etc. Love companies like netzerocompany who are helping me to create less waste in my daily life with their reusable and biodegradable products for things I use everyday. Thank you netzerocompany for your commitment to the planet. Here are some useful and zero waste products I recently purchased. There’s lots more on their website - this is just what I needed. #sustainableliving #sustainability #recycle #biodegradable #netzeroco #netzerocompany #zerowaste #reusables
Slowly trying to make the switch to all reusable products. Love my silicone wraps from netzerocompany!

Removing disposable plastic wrap from our kitchen was one of the first steps we took towards increasing our sustainability a few years ago. We have used beeswax wraps, food storage containers, etc., and recently tried these silicone covers. I was skeptical at first, they felt thin and downright flimsy, but after using them for a few months I'm glad to say my initial impression was wrong. We bought a variety pack and have used them to cover partially used cans of food (no more pumpkin puree getting shoved to the back of the fridge in an unlabeled container!), as replacement lids for Pyrex containers, covering half a melon (yes, the largest size really does fit over half a watermelon!), and to cover awkward shapes (swipe right to see it in action keeping bugs out of our fruit water from the other day in our vintage glass pitcher--not an easy shape to cover!). .

Homemade oat buns 😋
.
My grandmother used to bake the most delicious oat buns. I loved going over to hers and get treated to freshly baked, soft buns topped with generous amounts of butter, that melted as it touched the buns that were still warm from the oven. After she passed, we realised that no one knew her recipe, as she was always baking from memory.
.
During lockdown I’ve tried my best to recreate her recipe. We have gone through so many batches of buns (Sam is not complaining) and I think we’re slowly getting there. Of course it will never be the same but we are happy to create our own traditions, (and remember to write it down for generations to come). 🥰
.
One of the products that have helped immensely on this journey are these amazing silicone baking mats from netzerocompany. They kindly gifted us some their silicone kitchen range to test out and we are loving them. The baking mats are a brilliant reusable swap for baking paper. Oiling baking sheets works well enough (which is what we’ve been doing) but the buns don’t always come off the sheet whole 🙈 Not a problem with these non-stick baking mats!
.
The silicone bowl covers are great for raising the dough and the silicone pouches store the buns and keep them soft for a long time. For reusable items, food grade silicone is a much more environmentally friendly material than plastic. It’s a highly durable material and stands well to changes in temperature, meaning you can both freeze it and use it in the oven. It's also microwave and dishwasher safe. 🙌
.
When purchasing silicone products look for FDA approved food grade silicone, which doesn’t include harmful chemicals, and you won’t have to worry about any toxins leaching into your food while storing and cooking. Good quality silicone doesn’t pick up any odours either. At the end of its long life silicone products can be recycled at the appropriate facilities.

A D| 2.5 billion coffee cups are used per year in the UK alone. In fact, 1 thousand cups are used every two minutes (solely in the UK)....Due to their manufacturing process (lined with plastic to make it leak proof) and the contamination from the drink, single-use cups are non-recyclable, meaning they end up in landfills.
To help tackle the problem, always remember to bring your reusable cup wherever you go, and it will definitely help remember if it's as cute as mine 😏
netzerocompany is a great one stop shop for all your eco-friendly switches like this glass reusable cup, bamboo hairbrushes, bamboo toothbrushes, reusable ziplock bags, reusable food covers and more!
I never thought that I would like a bamboo hairbrush because they seem so harsh, but as someone with thin and easily tangled hair I can assure you they are a great choice if you're looking to purchase a new one 💇🏼♀️
Net Zero Co. also have a very handy “gift guide” section on their website with specific budgets so you can freely roam for eco presents for your friends and family (or yourself) and encourage the people around you to make more sustainable changes!
PS. Net Zero have kindly offered a 10% discount code DESPINA10 😉
